A wild new play party has just been unleashed at The Crucible. From the creators of Lights Out, Barks Out comes Animal Haus, a monthly music and play event centered at the intersection of pet play and kink. DJs will be spinning all night long, while attendees can explore The Crucible’s 6,000 square feet of play space. Fursuiters, Pups, and petplayers from all around the DMV can expect a fun, consent based, unforgettable evening.

Animal Haus is a break from LOBO’s usual event (held on the second saturday at The Green Lantern). While you can still expect the same caliber of music and excitement, Animal Haus is centered on bringing together folks from all different communities to play, dance, and
connect in a way that is solely unique to The Crucible. In this members-only space, nudity and open play is allowed, and occasionally LOBO will feature demo stations so folks can get a taste of different flavors of Kink.

This event is 21+ and will have a bar. While there is no formal coat check, there is a coat/gear/tote/etc room to hold any of your gear or bags (first come first serve). The Crucible features a dance floor, seating area, lounge, 2 private rooms, a semi private space, and a huge dungeon space packed with furniture to help fulfill any fantasy.

Please note you must be a member or a guest of a member to attend. One member per guest allowed, guests may only be guested in twice before we ask that they purchase a membership. Memberships are $40 a year and can be purchased from the-crucible.com. Membership must be purchased in advance of attending any event at The Crucible.

Introducing the Black Rose Education Intensives Series

Black Rose Education Intensive Series is a new quarterly program built for deeper dives into kink. These extended sessions pair in-depth instruction with hands-on practice and lab time, creating space for intentional learning and skill development beyond a single evening class.

Intensive Class Descriptions

Class 1: Deep Impact

If you crave deep thuddy sensation, are seeking more extensive bruising, or want your partner to feel how much you care about them all the way down to their bones, this class is for you! Carmen will discuss marking, anatomical and safety concerns for scenes with deep thud, as well as general best practices and techniques. We’ll demonstrate intense rough body, how certain types of bondage and body positioning can help strikes penetrate further into the body, and which toys and pervertables can be enlisted to bring that extra oomph to your impact.

Class 2: Advanced Scene Planning

Planning and executing a high-concept scene can take a lot of thought and effort. This class will help participants looking to gain confidence with preparing and executing an intense or important scene by walking attendees through how to analyze, negotiate and plan. Participants should plan to bring a scene idea to workshop. An experienced instructor will help attendees refine their scene concepts and collaborate with other participants to leave class with a solid idea of how to make their fantasy a reality.

MATRIARXY is a play-party and mixer for Dommes, Alpha femmes and all who adore and admire us.

More than just an event; we are a movement, cultivating a vibrant community rooted in respect, consent and the joyful expression of femme sovereignty.

•    MATRIARXY with an “X” intentionally and explicitly invites and affirms all femme-aligned identities, not limited to binary definitions of gender, to embrace and express their dominance.
•    Femme sovereignty meaning – femmes (women and femme-aligned individuals) are recognized as the rightful leaders and curators of the space.

MATRIARXY is for:

•    Experienced Dommes and Alpha femmes seeking a high-energy playground
•    New and emerging Dommes and Alpha femmes ready to explore and express their power
•    Submissives and bottoms of all varieties seeking to socialize and play with Dommes and Alpha femmes

MATRIARXY key rules:

•    No pay-for-play or transactional discussions allowed.
