The Crucible Calendar Monthly List

BR Gateway is a special Black Rose meeting intended for individuals (18 and older) who are either new to BDSM or new to the DC kink scene. BR Gateway is designed to facilitate getting your questions answered. Attendees at this event tend to be from diverse ages, backgrounds, genders, orientations, and more — everyone is welcome.  The meeting is an informal discussion and there is nothing you have to bring. Dungeon 101 serves as an introduction into public BDSM play. If you have never attended a public BDSM play event, it can be a bit daunting. The Dungeon 101 class is specifically designed to make you feel comfortable at your first public BDSM dungeon event. Attendees and presenters come from a diverse cross section of the community, all orientations, genders and kinks are welcome. You are welcome to come alone, bring a friend or bring a bunch of friends.

From 7:30 until 8:00 PM will be social time. Starting at 8:00 PM, there will be a talk on scene etiquette and an opportunity to learn about the dungeon itself. Directly following will be a "Exploratorium" event until 11:00 PM where you can try and/or experience many different kinds of play scenes. The idea is for it to be a fun evening for everyone!

No advance tickets are available for this event -  please plan to arrive early and pay at the door.

More experienced folk come on out after 11:00 PM for Open Play. We ask that everyone except presenters keep their toy bags put away until Open Play starts to avoid confusion. No scenes or play permitted during the Exploratorium.

This is an outreach event, you do not need to be a BR or Crucible member to attend.

In order to foster a learning environment, there is no sex allowed at Dungeon 101, and no alcohol is sold. This applies all night, even during open play after the Exploratorium has concluded.

You must be at least 18 years of age. Government-issued photo ID required for entry.

Hitchin' Bitches is for women and non-binary folks interested in tying, being tied and who self-tie. Men may accompany attendees as bottoms, but may not tie or participate in any discussions other than as bottoms. Men are only allowed at the invitation of an attending top.

Bondage enthusiasts, new tiers, old riggers, self tiers, escape artists, … If you like rope, The Crucible has an event just for you, Crucible Rope Share.

If you are, or want to be a part of, the rope family, you are invited to join in an afternoon of rope education, experimentation, and play. A Rope Share offers a bunch of ways to make a great rope day. If you are new to rope or looking for a new tie, instructors will be on hand to provide hands on instruction and guidance to help you improve your skills. If you have a tie that needs workshopping / experimenting, the instructors and other community members may have the insight to share that helps you find your “ah-ha” moment. If you just need a place to tie, the club is available for your use and enjoyment.

This event is for rope enthusiasts of all skill levels, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and race/ethnicity who want to learn about the art of bondage and share their passion for rope with others. Attendees must be Crucible Members or the guest of a member and be 18 years old or older.

Black and Kinky at The Crucible is a space for all experience levels and interest in kink. We focus on building community, education and play in the largest kink event in DC that centers, celebrates and honors the rich diversity and contributions of Black and Brown kinksters. Our gathering aims to create a safe and welcoming space for all participants, with a strong focus on ensuring the safety, honored consent, and positive experiences of Black and Brown attendees.

Whether it is your first time in a dungeon or you are a seasoned vet, we invite you to mix and mingle with our thriving community. Our monthly event is built for discovery, driven by consent, and centers around the Black kinkster experience. We provide the music and vibes, all we need is you!

Come join the Crucible Gamers to play board, card, and video games, or take advantage of all the other options the club has to offer. It's a chill Sunday afternoon, so plenty of time for whatever, and not too crowded, so plenty of room to spread out too.

Games. Come play them. Bring some if you wish. Also bring someone if you wish. Play games.

In tandem with the Gamers, we're inviting crafty kinksters to join us for Kinky Crafternoon at the Crucible. All your hand crafts are welcome - beading, crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery, jewelry-making, knitting, spinning, weaving, etc. Bring your tools/supplies (and any you're willing to share/trade). All skill levels are welcome and skill sharing is strongly encouraged.
We ask that you leave anything especially noisy (power tools), smelly (model glue/paint), or messy (whittling, glitter) at home.
